Community Canvas | October 1 – 3

In the days leading up to Nuit Blanche, award-winning multi-disciplinary creative Ben Johnston will be painting a new large-scale ground mural in the heart of CityPlace and Fort York. Community members, residents, and visitors are invited to take part in guided after-work paint sessions from Wednesday, October 1, to Friday, October 3, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and add their own brushstrokes as this collaborative artwork comes to life.

Culture Fest | October 3 – 4

The complete mural will be unveiled on Friday, October 3 with music and drop-in dance lessons by Salsa in the Heart. The celebrations continue as Culture Fest kick-starts the weekend with free outdoor workouts at Canoe Landing Park on Saturday morning. Come together for the mural unveiling celebration. Dance under the lights with a DJ set by Gimmemar, enjoy culinary delights from local businesses and experience the energy of Nuit Blanche’s citywide programming.

10 to 10:45 a.m. – High-intensity workout with Orangetheory Fitness Fort York

 

11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. – Full-body HIIT class with Liv Mcilkenny

Recovery refreshments by Liquid I.V.

 

7 to 11 p.m. – Evening celebration

• Drop-in salsa lessons by Salsa in the Heart

• Live DJ set by Gimmemar

• Local food vendors from CityPlace and Fort York BIA
