The CityPlace & Fort York Business Improvement Area (BIA) represents more than 300 commercial property owners and businesses within one of Toronto’s fastest-growing downtown communities. The BIA’s boundaries extend from Spadina Avenue to Strachan Avenue, and from the south side of Front Street to the north side of Lake Shore Boulevard West and Fleet Street, encompassing approximately 67 hectares in the heart of Toronto’s waterfront district.

 

Established in 2016, the CityPlace & Fort York BIA plays a leadership role in shaping a dynamic and thriving neighbourhood. Working collaboratively with local businesses, property owners, residents, and city partners, the BIA is committed to strengthening the area’s economic vitality while enhancing the public realm.

 

Through strategic marketing, streetscape improvements, events, and community partnerships, the BIA promotes the neighbourhood as a vibrant destination to live, work, visit, and invest. By championing local businesses and fostering a welcoming urban environment, the organization continues to support the long-term growth and success of this rapidly evolving district.
